The Ukiyo Ryu teaches the best in traditional martial arts & modern self defense. Training promotes:
The Japanese term "Ukiyo" literally means "floating world" and comes from an old Buddhist concept of "a world free from the outside world of transient sorrow." That's what a Dojo (training school) is: a special place to focus on self improvement and self empowerment for your mind, body and spirit. "Ryu" means school, family, lineage or style. The Ukiyo Ryu was created using concepts & techniques from a variety of styles including Karate, JuJitsu, Kenpo, Ninpo, Kung Fu, & Boxing, to create a comprehensive, well rounded system of martial arts.
